What size band should I hire?

We’ve got options! It all depends on your budget, theme, and vision. Space also plays a factor but our 9-piece band can fit most anywhere. Once you submit your event request, we’ll be happy to give you an expert recommendation and plenty of options to fit your budget.

  • Trios or quartets: Instrumental background music for cocktail hours & small events. $

  • 9-piece band: 3 horns, 4 rhythm, and 2 vocalists. Our most popular group. Great for most corporate functions, weddings & dances. $$

  • 14-piece band: 6 horns, 4 rhythm, and 2-3 vocalists. Perfect for larger events, luxury weddings, and ballroom dance events.  $$$

  • Full Big Band or Custom Show: These larger ensembles are customized to your space & venue. Perfect for theatre venues, festivals and special events. $$$$

How much do you charge?

We take pride in a customized approach for each client. Every event is unique and your final quote includes the best available talent rates for the day, services needed, location, and performance time. Weekdays may see lower pricing than weekends due to demand. Special events, weddings & holidays may also affect pricing. You can also lock in lower rates by booking early or booking multiple recurring events with us. If you are booking for a non-profit, school or dance studio, let us know! We may be able to offer you a special rate. 

Do you travel?

Yes! We love to travel. Currently the band is available anywhere in the continental U.S. Clients may opt to provide accommodations for the band, or have it included in your quote. Events local to the St Augustine, Jacksonville & Amelia Island areas do not incur additional travel costs.

How long do you play for?

Generally performance time for the band is 3 hours, usually two long sets with a break in-between. We can cover your break music or you can provide, whatever you feel is best for your event! 

Can I request a song?

Yes! We are happy to learn music for special events, weddings and first dances. Once you book us, make your request as early as possible so we have enough time to prepare!

Do you perform wedding ceremonies?

No, but the band is happy to provide cocktail hour music for your wedding and we work with a variety of local musicians to book ceremony music. Let us know if you need ceremony music and we can recommend someone to you!

Can you help emcee my event? Can I use one of your mics?

Yes, of course! Your quote includes our sound package. Your team is welcome to use one of our mics. Our singers are expert hosts who will make your event as seamless as possible.  

Can I pick the singers?

We’ll do our best to honor any special requests you have including singers. We work with a roster of about 75 musicians so we’ll need to check availability first. Rest assured, all of our vocalists are top-notch professionals and hand-picked for your specific event.

What does the band wear?

From business casual to black tie, we are ready to rock whatever style fits your event best. We’ll always dress the part whether it’s a formal wedding, corporate event or something more casual like an outdoor resort.

Is sound equipment included?

Yes. For any event larger than a trio we include our full PA system, qualified sound technician and all the equipment. If you have an in-house sound system or technician (typically larger venues & theatres) we’re happy to work with your in-house team as well.

What kind of music do you play?

We play over 100 years of music. Everything from classic jazz to modern hits from Taylor Swift, we have you covered. Download a sample set list here.

What do you need for stage/power?

While we don’t require a stage to perform it’s always a nice touch! Here are some general space guidelines:

 

Trios/Small Groups: 8'x12

9-piece band: 12'x20' minimum

14pc band: 12'x24'

For power we suggest 2 dedicated standard circuits.

What else does the band need on the day of?

Hot vendor meal for each band member, bottled water for the stage, and a covered space on a flat, level surface to perform. We can perform outdoors however we ask you have an indoor back-up option. Outdoor events during June, July and August may require fans and a covering due to the danger of extreme heat.
