As an intern or student performer with Crescendo Amelia you’ll work hands-on with our director and a team of professional musicians. You’ll learn skills and use them to help support our mission: to create vibrant, engaging, and meaningful performances that bring to life the incredible legacy of big band & jazz music. This is not your average internship and may include a stipend of up to $1000 and/or a combination of paid gigs & class credit.

Develop Your Skills in...

Business operations specific to the performing arts, with a focus on music.

Artist and relationship management.

Social media strategy.
-
Event marketing, planning and execution.
-
Digital marketing and advertising.
-
Crafting e-mail, print and digital marketing communications.

Audio and visual production, both live & recording.

You’ll make a difference by:

Helping fans and audiences engage with our music and musicians.

Acting as a liaison between a variety of diverse audiences across demographics.

Working on campaigns and events that drive meaningful outcomes.
-
Educating our community on historical and contemporary topics related to our music.
-
Working with artists to support their craft.

Requirements:

Passion for people, live music, and events.
-
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
-
Digital fluency including e-mail, social media platforms and apps.

Fantastic interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of graphic design and/or video editing tools is a plus (Canva, Adobe etc.)

You do not have to be a musician to apply!

Internships with class credit available in: General Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media Strategy, Live Audio, Arts & Business Management, Music Business, General Business, Communications, and more.

Up to 10-15 hours per week. Expect to work 2 shows per month on nights and weekends. Our busiest season is November - December with additional hours & shows.

Remote work locations, we don’t have an office. Reliable transportation is important.

Semester length internship options available- choose your own start date!

Light physical demands include setting up tables, moving production equipment for events, driving, and typing. Ability to lift to 40lbs on occasion.

Pay: 1099 independent contractor status for paid gigs. Paid and unpaid internships available via stipend and/or class credit.

Community & Volunteer hours available for students under 18.
